Plant Genetics and Molecular Pharming

The development of recombinant proteins and other secondary metabolites in plants is represented in plant molecular farming. Such technology relies on the genetic transformation of plants that can be achieved through methods of stable gene transfer, such as gene transfer to nucleus and chloroplasts, and unstable transfer methods such as viral vectors.
